The BCCI has put the Ranji Trophy tournament on hold for the ongoing domestic season due to the rise in the COVID-19 cases across the country. There will also be no CK Nayudu Trophy and Senior Women's T20 League.

Ranji Trophy was not held last season due to COVID but was scheduled to start this month. The tournament was scheduled to be held in six cities - Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Trivandrum.

The CK Nayudu Trophy was to begin this month while the women's league was to begin in February. The BCCI had already successfully organized the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy this season before the recent spike in cases.

The increase in COVID-19 cases is affecting the cricket matches a lot, now everyone's eyes are on the world's biggest cricket league i.e. IPL to be held in the coming times.
Will the spectators once again be deprived of watching in the stadium?
